Wine and Heritage

Monasteries, abbeys, castles, churches, museums, small towns and villages… Castilla-León is full of contrasts and history. Find out what it’s like to live here.

Too much to see to come only once! You have to come back to Castile-Leon hundreds of times to discover it and to explore it to its full extent: The  UNESCO Heritage Cities of Ávila, Salamanca and Segovia are essential and unforgettable visits. The medieval and singular towns, reluctant to lose their hegemony, such as Peñafiel, Tordesillas, Simancas and so many others. Ancient subterranean wine caves excavated on the rocks of the slopes, the last remains of the ancestral tradition of producing wine for their own consumption and using the underground cellar to store it. The local fiestas, a tradition that is more alive than ever, with celebrations in every corner of the region. The landscape dotted with churches, castles and monasteries, guardians of centuries-old treasures and legends.

A land silent and austere, as are its towns and its people. People of few words but honest and sincere who know how to welcome visitors and make them feel at home.
